Applications
are invited for appearing in the Research Entrance Test (RET) relating to the
Ph.D. programme in the Department of English in 2015-16. Candidates can download
the prescribed form and necessary relevant information from the university
website www.knuedu.in.
Minimum Eligibility for Appearing in RET
At
least 55% in aggregate or equivalent grade point average at the Master’s level.
Two-year
Master’s degree in English. Additionally, the candidate should have studied
English as Honours/ Major subject at Three-Year Bachelor’s degree level.
A
candidate appearing in the final year of the MA Examination may also apply for
and appear in the RET.
A
candidate may be provisionally admitted to the Ph. D. programme at the
beginning of any Semester provided the result of the MA Examination is declared
before the commencement of the course work and he/she fulfils the eligibility
criteria.
