candidates selected for admission along with waiting lists will be displayed on
College Notice Board and Website on the date notified.
Candidate

Fill-in
the form correctly, attach attested photocopy of all the necessary documents :
Mark sheet of H.S. or equivalent examination.
Proof of date of birth.
Caste, tribe or disability certificate from competent authority.
Domicile certificate, if applicable.
Proof of Residence-Ration Card/ Voter's Identity Card/Aadhaar Card/ Passport).
4 copies of passport size coloured photograph.
Mark sheet of H.S. or equivalent examination.
Proof of date of birth.

verification collect ADMIT order from Principal's office.
You
can pay your admission fee through online (debit card, credit card & net
banking) (for pay online click here ) or deposit the fees in
the bank through fees payment voucher in CASH/ DD/ PAY ORDER. For Bank
of India - in favour of "Asutosh College",Bank
of Baroda - in favour of "Asutosh College Admission",Central
Bank of India - in favour of "Asutosh College Development
Fee Account" and United Bank of India - in
favour of "Asutosh College", all payable at Kolkata after
final verification .
Registration
Form: Each student must have to submit filled-in Calcutta University
Registration Form (available at the college officeonly after payment of fees in
the bank) during his/her admission, failing which his/her admission is liable
to be cancelled.
Filled-in
Registration Form along with Admission Form are to be submitted in college
office to get the Roll No. with Fees Book and Identity
Card.
Submit
your college Roll No. to the respective Department after admission.
Taking
Admission within stipulated date is mandatory failing which the candidature
will be cancelled.
Students,
already enrolled in another College, should get their Admission cancelled from
the previous college, before collecting Admission form.
Wait-listed
candidates for honours courses are advised to keep-in touch with respective
Departments and go through the website notification for information regarding
current position in admission list.
N.B.
The
admission is provisional, subject to scrutiny and verification of the documents
submitted. The provisional admission is liable to be cancelled if they fail
to submit documents required by the University. If admission of any such
student is not approved by the University, she/he will not be entitled to any
refund of fees.
Selection
will be strictly on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification for Admission to the Three-Year
B.A./B.Sc. (Hons./General/Major), B.B.A.(Hons.) and UGC approved
B.Voc./Diploma/Advanced Diploma Course.
A
candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent
examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year
B.A./B.Sc. (Hons./General/Major), B.B.A.(Hons.) and UGC approved
B.Voc./Diploma/Advanced Diploma Course of Studies provided he/she has also
passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. However,
no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 5 years
from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation
of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying
examination.
Explanation: The year of admission shall not be taken into
account while calculating 5 years from the year of passing the previous
qualifying Examination.
For the
purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course,
aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four
subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory
Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for
calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject "Environmental
Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into
account for the purpose determining the aggregate marks.

(a). A Candidate taking up Honours/Major/General/Vocation/Diploma/Advanced
Diploma Course in a subject must have obtained (C.U. Rules):
Hons: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. For BBA 55% marks in the aggregate from any discipline.
Major/Vocation: For these Courses a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
General/Diploma/Advanced Diploma: For these Courses, a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
Hons: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. For BBA 55% marks in the aggregate from any discipline.
Major/Vocation: For these Courses a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
General/Diploma/Advanced Diploma: For these Courses, a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
However,
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or OBC-A or
OBC-B Community taking up Honours/Major/Vocation Course of Study must have
obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying
examination, as the case may be.
A candidate shall be allowed to take up the subject
(s) under heading A if he/she had passed the subject(s) under
heading B at the previous qualifying examination.
