Dilip Kumar Condition not good

Veteran actor and tragedy king of Bollywood film industry Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital since Wednesday and his condition is not good. The 94-year-old actor, was admitted with severe dehydration and kidney problems. Report is that he was put on ventilator although one of his doctors said that there was no truth to them. However, he admitted that Dilip Kumar's condition was "not good."

The Doctor said "(His condition is) Not good. His creatinine is rising, haemoglobin is decreasing and potassium levels are increasing. He will need dialysis, but he is not on ventilator."

Dilip Kumar made his debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944, has acted in over 50 films in his career spanning more than five decades. The actor has given us iconic films like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam and Naya Daur. Last film of Dilip Kumar is Qila in 1998. 

Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. 

Till now, not a single star from Bollywood film industry has visited Dilip Saab in the hospita.

Dilip Kumar makes Facebook debut


Veteran Bollywood megastar Dilip Kumar recently made his Facebook debut. The yesteryear tragedy King has posted a video of himself having tea with his wife, yesteryear actress Saira Banu.

In the video, Saira Banu is prompting Dilip Saab to say something to his fans as they sip on tea and relish biscuits along with it. After Dilip Kumar just looks intently into the camera and does not react to Banu, she stands up and places a peck on his right eye in the final moments of the video.

Dilip Kumar captioned the video as, "Irritating pain in lower back. A refreshing cup of tea is always welcome."

Veteran Bollywood Actor Dilip Kumar Hospitalised

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar is again hospitalised on 06 December 2016. The actor was admitted to Mumbai's Leelavati Hospital on Tuesday morning due to sudden swelling in his right leg.

Saira Banu said "I was anyway planning to take him for a routine check-up, but the swelling alarmed me. He was also complaining of cold and cough. I don't ignore anything even remotely suspicious when it comes to Dilip saab's health. The doctors are examining him; he's under observation. He's very comfortable with the team here. I just hope there is nothing serious. Inshallah, I will take him home before his birthday on Sunday."

Latest News on Dilip Kumar

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar is critically ill and the 93 year old super star is admitted to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital at about 2.30 am on Saturday (16 April 2016) after he complained of respiratory problems.

The Tragedy King of Bollywood was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan and adopted the screen name of Dilip Kumar. In his career spanning over six decades, Dilip Kumar has acted in films like Madhumati, Devdas, Mughal-E-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam, Karma, Andaz, Baabul, Mela, Deedar, Jogan and others.

Dilip Kumar, popularly known as Dilip Saab was last seen in the film Qila in 1998.

Dilip Kumar was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 2015 and earlier he was honoured with Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.

Dilip Kumar is now out of ICU but the next 72 hours are crucial for the actor.

Dilip Kumar gets Padma Vibhushan award


Ailing legendary actor Dilip Kumar was today presented the Padma Vibhushan by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at the actor's residence in suburban Bandra for his contribution to the Hindi cinema.

Dilip saab was presented a medal, a certificate and a shawl by Rajnath Singh.

The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan award in 1991, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan earlier this year.

Dilip Kumar hospitalized – now stable


Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was admitted on 6 December, Saturday at Lilavati hospital in Bandra. Dilip Saab was admitted in a normal ward for treatment of chest infection called bronchopneumonia.

Doctor said that there is improvement in the lung infection and the legendary actor is on the road to recovery. Doctor is expecting that Dilip Kumar will be released in next 3-4 days. All the test carried out show sign of improvements.

Dilip Kumar is stable


The condition of veteran actor Dilip Kumar is stable now. Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai on Sunday night after heart attack.

On 13th of this month Dilip Kumar had viral fever and on Sunday he felt a little discomfort. He was brought to hospital and now he is in stable condition.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar hospitalised



Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is admitted in Lilavati Hospital on Sunday evening. Dilip Kumar, 90 suffered from a heart attack. Dilip Kumar has been admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU) of Lilavati Hospital in Bandra under the care of cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale. Dilip Kumar is not on ventilator and is conscious. Dilip Kumar’s his condition is stable.


Dilip Kumar whose real name is Muhammad Yusuf Khan was born on 11 December 1922 in Peshawar. Dilip Kumar was known as tragedy king and his acting career spanned six decades and over 60 films.

Dilip Kumar turns 90 on Tuesday - happy birthday


11 December is the birthday of veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar and this year he will turn to 90 years. Dilip Kumar was born at Pakistan`s Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province.

There was a rumour that Dilip saab will celebrate a grand birthday on his 90th birthday but after the death of Balasaheb Thackeray, the actor said that he was not in mood to celebrate his birthday. In Mumbai, Dilip Kumar will not celebrate any birthday bash due to the death of Rajesh Khanna, Yash Chopra and Balasaheb this year.

No big bash to celebrate 90th birthday of Dilip Kumar


On 11 December 2012, veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar will turn 90. It was heard that Dilip Saab was planning planning big bash to celebrate his 90th birthday but he denied it. Dilip Kumar said that he and his wife Saira Banu are yet to recover from the death of Yash Chopra and the recent death of Bal Thackeray has a great impact on both of them.
