Class XI Admission Details Published


REVISED MODE OF ADMISSION TEST FOR CLASS XI (2021-22)

Owing to the pandemic situation off-line Admission Test stands cancelled. Instead a forty-minute ONLINE TEST (MCQ pattern) will be conducted on 20 June 2021. Details of the test will be informed later on.

A list of the qualifying candidates for appearing at the online interview will be published on 21 June 2021.

Online interview will be conducted towards the end of June 2021.

A student may apply for the following option/s :
1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5

A student may apply only once. So, one needs to be very careful while selecting Options.
Option(s) once finally submitted cannot be modified.

Students of Humanities stream may write answers in the Admission Test, School Examinations and Classes XI and XII Board Examinations either in Bengali or in English.

Application forms can be submitted ONLINE only in the school website at⦁ www.rkmvnarendrapur.org. No offline forms will be issued. Boys appearing at Class-X Board Examination in 2021 only may apply.

Application Fees: The cost of the Application Form is Rs.600/- per option. The payment is to be paid through ONLINE only. A student may apply for one, two or all the three options by paying requisite fees.

Marks Criteria


Students willing to apply need to secure the following marks in the Class IX Annual Examination of their school.

Admission to Class XI is provisional and will be confirmed only after Class X Board Results 2021 are published. A student has to secure

At least 95% marks in the Science Group and 75% marks in the Language Group in Class X Board Examination 2021 for Science Stream and/or

1at least 75% marks in the Aggregate and 75% marks in the Language Group in Class X Board Examination 2021 for Humanities Stream.

Questions for Science Stream will be in English Language but answers may be written in English or Bengali Language. Questions for Humanities Stream will be in Bengali Language but answers may be written in Bengali or English Language.

Results of a Written Examination followed by a ‘Viva-Voce’ test are taken into account while
ascertaining selection of boys coming from other institutions.
Date of result will be notified later on in the School’s website at
http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org or by announcement on the day of Admission Test.
The date of joining hostel will be informed later.
Any information given in the Application Form, if subsequently found wrong, may cause expulsion of the student, even after admission.
No admission is made against receipt of donation in cash or kind.
Boys irrespective of caste, creed or nationality are admitted. Preference is given to boys belonging to the weaker sections of the society. Excellence in co-curricular activities is desirable.
In no case, question papers of the previous years are given or published in any form. The Vidyalaya also does not conduct any coaching classes for the Admission Test.
Financial assistance is given to a few meritorious boys belonging to financially weak families.

ADMISSION—2021 (For Class V) [ONLY FOR BOYS]

Class and Medium: Admission is open only to Class V, both Bengali Medium and English Medium. Each candidate may apply either for English Medium or for Bengali Medium. If anyone applies for both English Medium and Bengali Medium, his candidature is liable to be cancelled. It being a residential school, all the boys should stay at the hostels. The school is affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Boys are admitted here after admission test and interview.

Admission Test for Narendrapur Centre BENGALI MEDIUM Saturday, 5th December, 2020 At 12-30 p.m. ENGLISH MEDIUM Sunday, 6th December, 2020 At 12-30 p.m.

Eligibility: Boys now reading in Class IV or V are eligible for admission test for Class V. Candidates having no formal education in any school are not eligible. 

Age : Between 10 and 11 years of age as on 1st January, 2021 (i.e born between 02.01.2010 and 01.01.2011) 

Marks : For General Category : Boys should secure 60% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 60% marks in English & 70% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination or last Half-yearly Examination. For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B : Boys should secure 55% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 55% marks in English & 65% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination or last Half yearly Examination. In cases where no marks is awarded and only grading is done, exact percentage of marks and conversion formula adopted are to be mentioned with documentary evidence, if required. 

Application: Applications should be submitted ONLINE ONLY on the School website at http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org. No OFFLINE form will be issued. Filling up of online application will commence on: 17th September, 2020 from 10.00 a.m. Closing date for submission of online application: 28th November, 2020 up to 1-00 p.m. Last date of payment of fees: 28th November, 2020 After successful payment the ADMIT CARD will be auto-generated and can be downloaded after 72 hours of successful payment. Please download and print the ADMIT CARD and affix a recent passport size coloured photograph in the prescribed slot and carry it to the admission centre. Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination hall. The cost of the Application Form is to be paid through ONLINE only. The amount to be paid is given below: 

For Narendrapur Centre (Both Bengali Medium & English Medium students): Rs 600/- (Rupees Six Hundred only) 

For Manipur Centre (Only English Medium Students): Rs. 1,200/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred only) 

N.B.: Calculators, Mobile Phones, Bluetooth devices or any other communication devices or electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall. Any infringement of this instruction shall entail disciplinary action including cancellation of candidature.

Centres for Admission Test: i) Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, Kolkata-700103 ii) Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, Manipur-795001 (for English Medium Manipur Students Only) Owing to the present pandemic situation Jalpaiguri Centre has been cancelled this year.

 Admission Test: Admission Test for the boys of Bengali Medium and English Medium will be held according to the following schedule. Bengali Medium Saturday, 5th December, 2020, English Medium Sunday, 6th December, 2020. Time for both 12:30 P.M

Boys seeking admission to English Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali or Hindi, English & Mathematics. Here Bengali or Hindi is the First Language in English Medium, and English is the Second Language. Boys seeking admission to Bengali Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali, English & Mathematics. 

There will be three papers carrying 150 marks in total (Bengali/Hindi: 50; English: 50; Mathematics: 50). The duration of the Test for each is 45 minutes. The syllabi meant for Classes IV and V prescribed by different Boards or Councils will be covered mainly. Emphasis is given on the basic concepts or fundamentals of the subjects, simple and correct sentences with right spellings of words and good handwriting etc. Date of result will be notified later in the School’s website at http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org or by announcement on the day of Admission Test. 

Any information given in the Application Form, if subsequently found wrong, may cause expulsion of the student, even after admission.
