Arun Chakraborty, the creator of 'Lal Pahari Deshe' passed away due to heart attack

 


died of a heart attack on Friday night at his residence in Chinsurah, sources close to the family have said. He was 80 years old.

Arun Chakraborty, an alumnus of Shibpur Engineering College, worked at Hindustan Motors while pursuing his passion for writing. He is survived by his widow, two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. His body will be placed in Rabindra Sadan, Chinsurah for fans to pay their tributes, following which he will be cremated at Sambabu Burning Ghat.

According to family sources, Arun Chakraborty was physically healthy. He also attended the Jangalmahal event at Moharkunj, Kolkata on Friday. It got a bit cold from there. Poet's daughter-in-law Sudeshna Chakraborty said that he had lung problems since Corona. He suffered a heart attack at his house on Farm Side Road in Chunchura late on Friday night. He breathed his last there. Arun Chakraborty was 80 at the time of his death.

Poonam Pandey, model and reality TV star, has died of cervical cancer, her manager said today, sparking shock and disbelief.

The 32-year-old, who was last seen on the reality show Lock Upp, "bravely fought the disease" and died this morning, her team said in a statement.

"Poonam Pandey, the beloved actress and social media personality, has tragically passed away this morning due to Cervical Cancer, leaving the entertainment industry in shock and mourning," her manager Nikita Sharma said.

"Her unwavering spirit amidst her health struggles was truly remarkable," shared Ms Sharma, highlighting the "critical need for increased awareness and proactive measures against preventable diseases like Cervical Cancer".

Her media manager Parul Chawla, who was cited by reports as having confirmed her death, later asserted that Poonam Pandey's sister had called "regarding her sudden demise" and that she was waiting for details.

"This is to place on record that we have received a call from her family member (sister) this morning regarding her sudden demise  (as posted on her official Insta id ). We are awaiting further information from the family to update everyone. We will release official statement as we receive the further update to be shared," Ms Chawla said.

This morning, the news emerged when the model's team posted on her official Instagram page.

"This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared," the statement said.

Anup Ghoshal Is No More - Passed Away On 15 December 2023

 Singer and former Trinamool MLA Anup Ghoshal passed away. He was 78 at the time of his death. The singer breathed his last at a private hospital in South Kolkata around 1.30 pm on Friday. He was hospitalized for a long time. He finally died of heart disease on Friday.

Film Director Pradeep Sarkar Passes Away

 Bollywood's Bengali director Pradeep Sarkar passed away at the age of 67. Director Hansal Mehta shared the news on Twitter on Friday morning. "Pradip Sarkar, dada, may your soul rest in peace," he wrote. In 2005, Pradeep came to the directorship with the film 'Parineeta'. In 2007, 'Laga Chunri Mein Daag' touched the hearts of the audience. Singer Nirmala Mishra Passed Away

 Nirmala Mishra died of a heart attack at her home in Chetla, South Kolkata around 12 o'clock on Saturday night. Nirmala was 81 years old at the time of her death.

She also suffered heart attack three times. Three-four days ago her illness suddenly increased. Her blood pressure dropped quite a bit last Thursday. But She didn't want to go to her hospital anymore. Her breathing problem started on Saturday morning. She died at night.

Nirmala's son Shubodeep Dasgupta said that the artist passed away in front of the eyes of the entire family. In his words, "Mother passed away in front of our eyes. She had a cerebral attack in 2015. Since then paralysis on one side of the body. Since then, mother was sleeping in bed. 2018 to 2022 — These four years have been hospital and home. Shortness of breath since Saturday morning. After that night it was all over."

He directed his first film in 1959. With the movie 'Chawa Pawa' starring Uttam Kumar Suchitra. He was then 28 years old.

The singer was admitted to the Woodburn Ward of SSKM. The medical board was formed in a hurry. It is known that the artist got injured after falling in the toilet. After that she became very ill. But by Tuesday evening her physical complications suddenly increased.

Although Sandhya Mukhopadhyay lent her voice for most of the Bengali film heroines till the end of '80s, she was singing voice of Suchitra Sen and afterwards Mahua Roychowdhury.

Footballer Surajit Sengupta Passes Away on 17 February


Surojit Sengupta is dead. Surojit passed away at 1:54 pm on Thursday. Bengal's sports lovers mourns Surojit's death.

Surajit Sengupta has been kept in artificial respiration. The 70-year-old former footballer has been hospitalized on the side of the bypass for the past few days. 

Surajit Sengupta's physical condition is critical. He has been kept on ventilation. His condition has been deteriorating since Friday night.

There are problems with the breathing process. With the help of ventilation, the former footballer has an oxygen level of 94 to 98 percent. Besides, he is talking incoherently. There are also symptoms of encephalopathy. Blood pressure is also not normal. In that case also the help of artificial process has been taken.

Surajit was admitted to a hospital near the bypass on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, Sports Minister Arup Biswas held a meeting on Surajit's medical condition. The meeting decided that a medical board would be set up for the former footballer.

Surajit has been admitted to a private hospital under the care of Dr. Ajay Krishna Sarkar. He is also being cared for by various cardiologists, pulmonologists and others.

Renowned dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj suffered a heart attack. The 83-year-old artist suffered a sudden heart attack on Sunday night. He was immediately taken to the hospital. There the doctors declared Birju Maharaj dead.



It has been heard that Birju Maharaj was at home. He was playing with his grandchildren. Suddenly felt chest pain. Everything was over in just a few hours. Birju Maharaj was an expert not only in dance but also in vocal music. He was good in tabla and drawing.

Birju Maharaj lost his father when he was only nine years old. Nachkei took aim at his own life. He was closely associated with Calcutta. It was in this city that he first performed in front of an audience. Birju Maharaj started teaching dance at the age of 13. At that age he used to teach Delhi music in Bharati. Later he started teaching at the Indian Arts Center and Kathak Center in Delhi. Later, Birju Maharaj opened his own school 'Kalashram'.

Birju Maharaj choreographed two songs from Satyajit Ray's movie 'Shataranj Ke Khiladi'. Later in 2002, taught Madhuri Dixit to dance to the song 'Kahe Chhede Mohe' in the film 'Devdas' directed by Bhansali. Received Sangeet Natak Academy Award. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan. Theatre Actress Shaoli Mitra Dead

 

Shaoli Mitra, Bengali theatre and film actress is no more. Shaoli Mitra died on today (16 January 2022) . She played the role of Bangabala in Ritwik Ghatak's Jukti Takko Aar Gappo. She was daughter of Sombhu Mitra and Tripti Mitra, who were also theatre personalities. In 2011, she was a chairperson of Rabindra Shardhoshato Janmabarsha Udjapon Samiti.

She passed away this afternoon. According to her wish, the last rites were performed in the evening without any procession. It is learned that one or two members of the family were also present there. He was 74 years old. Her last rites were performed at Kiriti Mahasashman on this day at noon. Actress Mishti Mukherjee Passes Away

 Bollywood Actress Mishti Mukherjee, 27 years old is dead. Misti worked in many films and music videos. Misti breathed her last on Friday night (October 2) in a hospital in Bengaluru. The actress was suffering from kidney disease.



The 27-year-old actress had also featured in several Telugu and Bengali projects. She had made her debut in Bollywood with the movie ‘Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi' in 2012. It is learnt that due to keto diet, her kidney failed in Bangalore and she breathed her last on Friday nigh.
