Story of the film
The film revolves around Nita , a young girl who lives with her family, refugees from East Pakistan, in the suburbs of Calcutta. Nita is a self-sacrificing person who is constantly exploited by everyone around her, even her own family. Her father has an accident and is unable to make a living. Her elder brother Shankar believes that his singing needs to be perfected before he can make any income from it and therefore the burden of taking care of the family falls on Nita. Her life is ridden with personal tragedy: her lover Sanat leaves her for her sister Geeta, her younger brother is injured while working in a factory and finally she herself becomes a burden for her family by contracting tuberculosis. Shankar is the only person who cares about her in the end. At the end of the film, she screams out her agony, throwing herself into her brother's arms. She utters her last words: "Brother, I want to survive (দাদা, আমি বাঁচতে চাই।).

Story of the film
Himangshu is a villageman who apart from practicing homeopathy helps the local people with their odds and ends. One day he gets a call from a rich man to escort his daughter Juthika to Patna. At first the rich and spoilt lady takes much disliking for the plain and simple Youngman but after having seen him from close quarters starts liking him. Soon her marriage is fixed to a bigshot. She confesses her feelings to Himangshu however he declines her love as he had a similar love failure in the past and did not want a broken heart again. He decides to leave the place and go away. Juthika breaks her engagement, leaves her family behind and choses to come along with Himangshu, proving all his apprehensions wrong.

Story of the film
The film focuses on two individuals, Bhrigu and Anasuya, who belong to rival theatrical groups, and the chasm that separates them. Story of the film
Dr. Dipta Roy was a successful doctor, extremely committed to his duty. After completing his FRCS from London, Dipta takes up the responsibility to run a hospital in the suburbs. He brings about a lot of welcoming changes to the setup and the way the treatment is done. He meets Achena a local schoolteacher with a nursing degree who offers assistance and together they run the hospital successfully. Soon they marry each other. Bhabesh Banerjee (Uttam Kumar) is a corrupt business aspiring to become a politician from Ranipur and involved with black market deals, smuggling and immoral trafficking. Supriya Debi playing the second wife of Bhabesh Banerjee reflected the reality of oppressed housewives in our society. At time when she is dominated by her husband, she finds solace in her step-son Rajesh’s approach towards life who is an honest man and loves Dolon. Story of the film
Surya Kishore Roy Chowdhury, the jamindar of a state was a man with a romantic bent of mind. He loved playing chess. His wife Indu thought that he never cared about her but her opinion was wrong. A doctor who was helped by the jamindar during his student days took shelter in the palace and then tried to kill the jamindar. He then threatened Indu. The jamindar was fortunately saved by a monk but the doctor by this time managed to occupy the whole state. Jamindar returned back and demanded his state back from the doctor. The film is about the struggle that the jamindar had to undergo before he was able to get back all that he had lost.

Story of the film
The plot revolves with the activities of an absconded Bengali revolutionary Sabyasachi and India's freedom movement against the British rule. The protagonist Sabyasachi forms a secrete revolutionary organization Pather Dabi. He is extremely talented, highly educated, courageous and committed to his organisation. He meets Rose in a brothel and inspires her to come into the freedom struggle. Rose become Sumitra and takes active part to organise the movement. Several other revolutionaries join with them to lead an armed uprising. Sabyasachi also inspires Apuraba and Bharati, a Bengali couple. But there is a story of betrayal behind Sabyasachi to gain the leadership, love and power.

Story of the film
An old man with a strict code of ethics is appalled and deeply wounded by the abrasive circumstances that invade his life. His three sons are caught up in decadent urban values. One daughter is married to a corrupt official being investigated by the CBI; the other is in an unstable marriage. The patriarch decides to escape from the shame of it all by taking his own life. He persuades his wife to join him but an accidental turn of events compels him to carry out his plan without her. The crisis brings the family together and problems sort themselves out. Filial love is restored and the old man's wife is happy. She is alive for her family. The futility of giving up on life and the franscience of bad times are the lessons to be learned from this film.
