Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is located at Haldia, Purba Midnapore district of West Bengal. Haldia Institute of Technology was established on 1996 with three departments and 90 students. Presently this Engineering College has 12 B.Tech departments and postgraduate departments. Haldia Institute of Technology is approved by All India Council For Technical Education(AICTE) and affiliated to West Bengal University Of Technology (WBUT). Haldia Institute of Technology also enjoys accredition status by National Board Of accredition (NBA), Govt.Of India. Students avail all the modern facilities like hostels, bank, post office, medical unit, central library, restaurants, play grounds etc. within the college premises.
